Company Profile
Our HistoryThe production, commercial and service history of Sanitaria Scaligera began back in 1958 thanks to Dr. Carlo Zuccato, father to the present administrators of Sanitaria Scaligera SpA. Back then, our firm worked in production of hospital equipment such as incubator cribs and other medical devices, beside acting as a distributor of medical gases, surgical instruments and diagnostic lab equipment. When Dr. Carlo Zuccato died in 1989, the firm name was changed to Sanitaria Scaligera Srl, and production was directed towards products having higher technological content, whil ekeeping at the same time intact the "old" distribution and maintenance activities. Representatives of this turning point are the LineaFILE optical picture archival systems, then state of the art in PACS/RIS (Picture Archival & Communication System / Radiological Information System), produced by our internal software division, which allowed Sanitaria Scaligera to enter partnerships with high-level corporate clients such as 3M italia and Siemens Nixdorf. n 1992 a rearrangement period began, leading to todays status of Sanitaria Scaligera SpA . In May, 1999 Sanitaria Scaligera received ISO 9002 certification from the CSQ, a division of the strictest Italian quality certification institute, the Istituto del Marchio di Qualità (IMQ). In the first days of 2000, Sanitaria Scaligera entered into a partnership with the english firm Talley Medical Group, in which Talley became sole UK distributor for LineaCARE while Sanitaria Scaligera became sole rights distributor for the full range of Talley products. Research & Development
Sanitaria Scaligera has a modern, resident R&D structure, organized in an R&D division. This division has a 350 square meter, fully equipped microbiological laboratory, a 200-square-meter mechanical workshop, and a fully equipped CAD laboratory.
Beside this, Sanitaria Scaligera usually entertains strict relationships with italian and foreign universities and indipendent research labs, using their experience mainly in the preliminary clinical trial phases.
Partner choice is usually targeted to a specifical project - i.e. by choosing a partner which is already indipendently working on research fields contiguous to those where Sanitaria Scaligera is doing research.
